On Monday, October 12, NJ/NY Gotham FC announced that rookie forward Jordynn Dudley had been placed on the Season-Ending Injury list. Dudley, a forward, suffered a foot fracture in a training session earlier this month.

“We’re disappointed for Jordynn after the outstanding rookie season she has had,” said Yael Averbuch West, the president of soccer operations for Gotham FC, in an official press release from the club. “We’ll support Jordynn throughout her recovery and do everything we can to help her return healthy for next season.”

Dudley made quite the impact in her first season with Gotham. She scored her first professional goal on April 29 against the Chicago Stars — the-second fastest goal in club history. She earned NWSL Rookie of the Month recognition that month, as well as in September, after a few more successful months were under her belt.

Prior to her club career, Dudley played for the Florida State Seminoles, where she was a part of two national championship-winning teams (2023 and 2025). She has also made 14 appearances for the US U-20 National Team and was called into a futures camp by USWNT head coach Emma Hayes in January 2025.
