Many current and former NWSL players have expressed their creativity and passion through specialized merchandise. Some of these players include NWSL midfielder Madison Hammond and retired USWNT legends Alex Morgan and Nicole Barnhart. They’ve collaborated with well-known brands such as Nike and the NWSL to spread their message through merchandise.

This summer, Hammond collaborated with Nike on the N7 Summer Collection that helps benefit kids sport and physical activity programming in Indigenous and Aboriginal communities. The collection was inspired by Hammond’s Native American heritage. She told Women’s Health that the design reminds her of “the Rio Grande cutting through the clay-rich soil where her family has lived for generations.”

She accomplished many feats throughout her career, including two Olympic gold medals and WPS Goalkeeper of the Year honors. Outside of soccer, Barnhart enjoys expressing herself creatively. In 2024, she hand-drew and designed merchandise for the Washington Spirit that featured the club’s name in sign language. Proceeds from the shirt sales benefited So Kids SOAR, an organization that empowers kids with physical and developmental disabilities to thrive.
