Aaron Rodgers tells Brandon Marshall to 'stay tuned' regarding Jets decision

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers continues to tease NFL fans when it comes to his future. All signs point to him joining the New York Jets and he told I Am Athlete‘s Brandon Marshall on Saturday that his decision is coming soon.

Rodgers, 39, recently met with Jets owner Woody Johnson, who is reportedly ready to sign the four-time league MVP and just waiting on his decision.

Marshall, 38, asked Rodgers how the meeting with Johnson went, but didn’t get much of a response other than to “stay tuned.”

Rodgers added that “it won’t be long” before he announces his next move because “there’s a time limit to all of this.”

The time limit Rodgers is referencing might be Wednesday’s salary cap deadline, when all NFL teams need to be under the league-mandated $224.8 million maximum.

Brandon Marshall wanted Aaron Rodgers to retire

Marshall interviewed Rodgers at the RX Flag Football Charity Event in Laguna Beach, California for his “On The Go” segment.

A former Jets wide receiver, Marshall recently urged Rodgers to retire, who he now says can become a New York great like himself.

While Rodgers doesn’t think Marshall is an all-time Jet because he only played there two years, and sees him more of a legendary Chicago Bears receiver, the QB can definitely make his mark in NY.

Rodgers remains coy about his future, but has already stated he’s not retiring. Now that the Packers are done with him, it’s up to him to decide if he want to join the Jets. Stay tuned.
