Liverpool star goes off injured following touchline collision with Jurgen Klopp

Kostas Tsimikas had to be substituted against Arsenal through injury after hitting the deck following his collision with Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.

The Gunners took the lead through Gabriel’s header after four minutes before Mohamed Salah equalised with an excellent finish.

Just minutes later, Tsimikas and Bukayo Saka were battling for the ball towards the touchline as Arsenal looked to attack.

The former lost his balance against the England international and went falling to ground as he lost the battle.

Tsimikas then collided with Klopp on his way down, with the German also falling to the floor, though he managed to get back up swiftly.

Liverpool‘s defender was unable to continue though as he was seen holding his shoulder in pain shortly after the hour mark.

The Greece international went straight down the tunnel, where he was replaced by Joe Gomez in what could be another left-back injury for the Reds.

Tsimikas has been filling in for Andy Robertson, who has been out of action since October as a result of a shoulder injury.

The 27-year-old has proved his worth at left-back in recent weeks but it remains to be seen when he will be able to return to the side.

Gomez had a great chance to add a second for Liverpool soon after he came on but opted to pass out wide rather than shoot at goal.
