Newcastle could cash in on striker amid Premier League and Saudi interest

Newcastle will consider cashing in on striker Callum Wilson this summer, talkSPORT understands.

Wilson has interest from West Ham as well as clubs in Saudi Arabia.

The experienced striker is out of contact at the end of next season and selling now would help Newcastle manager their profit and sustainability rules [PSR] issues.

The 32-year-old joined the Magpies from Bournemouth in 2020 and has gone on to score 48 times in 108 games for them.

They paid around £20million for him and this could be the last chance to recoup some money back for the striker.

Wilson may find first team opportunities limited next season, should Eddie Howe land those on his transfer wish list.

talkSPORT reported in May that Newcastle had rekindled their long-term interest in Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Calvert-Lewin is into the final year of his Everton contract and Newcastle believe he could be available for a minimal fee.

It is set to be a busy summer for Howe as they are also after Wolves defender Max Kilman.

They have already rejected an offer of Elliot Anderson, plus cash, for the centre-back.

Meanwhile, the Magpies could be set to sell 19-year-old Gambian winger Yankuba Minteh.

Everton are in talks to land the forward, who impressed on loan at Arne Slot’s Feyenoord last season, but he is on the radar of several European and Premier League sides.
