Indian opener Rohit Sharma has scripted history by becoming the player with the most sixes in One-Day Internationals (ODI) in the ongoing three-match ODI series opener against South Africa on Sunday (November 30) at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi.
Rohit Sharma’s record-breaking moment came off South Africa’s young pacer Marco Jansen, who bowled a short delivery angled into the right-hander.

The veteran Indian opener timed it perfectly, got on top of the bounce, rotated his body, and pulled the ball cleanly over long leg for his 352nd six in ODI cricket.

With this, the former Indian captain surpassed the former Pakistani captain and all-rounder Shahid Afridi, who previously held the record for the most sixes in ODIs for years. Now, Rohit leads the list with 352 sixes, pushing Africa to the second spot with 351 sixes.
West Indies legend Chris Gayle is the third batter with the most sixes in ODIs, followed by Sri Lankan legend Sanath Jayasuriya and former Indian captain MS Dhoni. The six not only showcased Rohit’s incredible skill and timing but also marked a historic moment for him.
