“This is so soft man” “Zero accountability”: NFL fans react as Rashee Rice skips media availability after Chiefs’ 20-10 loss to Texans

Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice bolted from the locker room on Sunday without talking to reporters after his team’s 20-10 home defeat to the Texans. Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce also refused to speak with media members twice.

Fans ripped both players on X for ducking questions after a game where their late mistakes crushed the Chiefs’ playoff chances.

“This is so soft man,” another fan wrote.

“Rice is known for quickly walking away from the scene of a crime,” one fan said.

    Here are more reactions.

“Rice is good at running away from things,” a fan commented.

“Walking out on the media (Kelce, Rice) is pretty pathetic. Kelce, supposedly a vaunted leader, is a multiple offender this season. Maybe he can monetize his disappointment on NH,” another fan said.

“Rashee gotta get out quick to drag race some fans,” one fan tweeted fan.

Kansas City entered the final quarter with the game tied 10-10 but couldn’t convert key opportunities. Rice let a fourth-down pass slip through his hands that would have kept a drive going. Kelce bobbled a catch that became a pick for Houston linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair, ending any comeback hopes.

The loss ended the Chiefs’ (6-7) nine-season run as AFC West champions.

The loss to Houston dropped Kansas City’s chances of making the postseason to 15%, according to The Athletic.

Patrick Mahomes, who played through a knee problem and carried the ball seven times for 59 yards, backed his teammates despite their failures.

“I’m going to go to those guys in big moments,” Mahomes told reporters. “Those guys have made plays in Super Bowls. They’ve made plays in AFC championship games.”

Chiefs coach Andy Reid also supported Rashee Rice and Travis Kelce.

“The ball went through their hands,” Reid said. “It happens. But those guys are great players.”

A loss at home to the LA Chargers in Week 15 would end Kansas City’s playoff run.
