Meanwhile, her unresolved feelings for Keifer continue to surface. Unlike the earlier season, which leaned strongly on classroom dynamics and rivalry, the narrative now turns inward. It focuses on personal struggles and emotional damage.
Each character’s past shapes their present choices. Jay-Jay’s traumatic childhood is finally revealed in detail. Her mother’s former partner inflicted severe physical and emotional harm, leaving wounds that never fully healed.
Keifer’s background also comes into focus as his father, Kaizer, is introduced. He was raised without a mother after Kaizer killed her, which led Keifer to take responsibility for raising his younger siblings alone.
The Ang Mutya ng Section E Book 2: The Dark Side part 1 storyline also revisits Yuri’s past heartbreak. His mother once took the help of Keifer to separate him from Ella, believing their relationship would only bring pain because she is not Japanese.
At the same time, the truth about Jay-Jay and Aries is revealed. They are not cousins, as previously believed, but share the same mother and have different fathers.

Ang Mutya ng Section E Book 2: The Dark Side part 1, episode 9 opens with Jay-Jay walking to school, confused about why her family hid Aries as her brother. The story shifts days earlier. She lies in her room, replaying Keifer’s anger after she stayed out all night with Yuri in the retreat. Following this, he has ignored her for days.
Wanting answers, she goes to Keifer’s house, where Keigan tells her that he is not home. When Keigan calls him, Keifer asks him to stay quiet. He is in London handling serious Watson family disputes.
Later, Jay-Jay meets Yuri’s mother, who takes her shopping for a wedding dress. She apologizes for rushing things and says she only wanted to prepare early. While Jay-Jay tries on gowns, the mother takes her photo and sends it to Yuri.
Jay-Jay feels pressured and realizes she is not ready for marriage. Yuri’s mother shares her past when Yuri’s father’s family rejected her until Yuri was born. That fear drove her actions. She admits asking Keifer to separate Ella from Yuri since Ella is not Japanese.
But the mother said that after the breakup, Yuri was left heartbroken. He dyed his hair and drank heavily. But it’s Jay-Jay who helped him recover.
Yuri later sends Jay-Jay’s photo to Keifer, saying he cannot wait to marry her. Back home, Jay-Jay happily hugs her grandmother. Yuri arrives soon after with flowers and introduces himself as her future husband. A maid then tells Jay-Jay someone outside is waiting for her. It is none other than Keifer.
He explains his London trip, but stops when he notices Yuri inside, so he follows him. During dinner, Yuri refers to Keifer as his best man, but Keifer refuses and says Yuri is his instead.
Angelo presses for clarity, prompting Keifer to reveal that he and Jay-Jay are dating. Before anyone can react, Angelo receives news that Aries has been hospitalized, and everyone rushes out. Later, Jay-Jay’s grandmother warns her that she cannot mislead two men and must make a decision soon.
The next day, Jay-Jay speaks to Percy on the phone through David. David admits he works under a contract for Percy in exchange for help with his girlfriend. Jay-Jay breaks down, and while David tries to comfort her, he impulsively kisses her. However, Keifer walks in and attacks David. When Jay-Jay attempts to explain, Keifer breaks down and pulls away. The next morning, two bikers attempt to harm Jay-Jay on her way to school.
She gets injured but still attends school. There, she finds witnesses Keifer attacking Kit after accusing him of kissing her based on what he heard from Mayo. Keifer then questions every boy in Section E about their feelings for Jay-Jay. The next day at school, Jay-Jay overhears a plan involving her.
When she confronts Keifer, he admits the truth about using her as a plan to take revenge on Aries, with Section E aware of it. Keifer drags her to Section A and says she never belonged in Section E. He pushes her toward Aries and says she belongs to him. Even Aries responds coldly that he does not care, leaving Jay-Jay completely shattered as the Ang Mutya ng Section E Book 2: The Dark Side part 1 ends.
Ang Mutya ng Section E Book 2: The Dark Side part 2 is set to release on June 11, 2026.
