The New York Giants might not be done making moves this offseason. Kayvon Thibodeaux could be on the move after recent rumors. After being selected with the No. 5 overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft, Thibodeaux has struggled to stay healthy.
He has played 53 of 68 possible games during his four-year career, and entering the final year of his deal, he looks more like a trade chip for the Giants. Dexter Lawrence’s blockbuster trade seemingly put an end to the Thibodeaux rumors, but Arvell Reese’s arrival might indicate the Giants are ready to move on from the Oregon product.
Thanks for the submission!
NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported on Friday that the Giants engaged in trade talks involving Thibodeaux, and an NFC South team was reportedly interested in his services.

Let’s take a look at two more teams that could land the defensive end.
3 appealing trade packages for Kayvon Thibodeaux
1. New Orleans Saints
Giants receive: Kool-Aid McKinstry
Saints receive: Kayvon Thibodeaux
It was only fitting to start with the team that Jordan Schultz mentioned as the most interested in Kayvon Thibodeaux. This would be a rare player-for-player exchange. Thibodeaux could help the Giants address one of their biggest needs in the 2026 offseason: cornerback.
McKinstry has been solid for the Saints. At 23, he has a bright future ahead. In two seasons in New Orleans, the Alabama product has recorded 118 tackles, three interceptions and 23 passes defended. The Giants’ secondary could reach a new level with this player.
2. Dallas Cowboys
Giants receive: George Pickens
Cowboys receive: Kayvon Thibodeaux, Pick No. 145
We’re talking about draft proposals that would move the needle and this one would certainly do so. The Giants also need a wide receiver, and George Pickens could be that guy. Adding Thibodeaux and a fifth-rounder for the former Pittsburgh Steelers star could be an intriguing option for Jerry Jones and Co.
Even though the Cowboys don’t plan to move Pickens, adding a player who would improve their defense could change their mind.
3. Philadelphia Eagles
Giants get: Jalen Carter
Eagles get: Kayvon Thibodeaux
Another player-for-player trade could see the Giants fill the void that Dexter Lawrence left when the Big Blue traded him to the Cincinnati Bengals. Jalen Carter is a promising young talent, but after the Eagles extended Jordan Davis to a three-year, $78 million extension, Philadelphia could part ways with Carter.
Swapping him for Thibodeaux could be the best solution for a team that was reportedly interested in another dangerous DE, Maxx Crosby
