ONE Fight Night 43 recap: Luo Chao earns his fifth-straight win against tough Denis Souza Jr

‘The Handsome White Dragon’ Luo Chao was pushed to the limit against Denis Souza Jr. Still, his volume across three rounds powered him to a statement win inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

This featherweight kickboxing scrap, which emanated live in American primetime on Friday, May 15, saw both men immediately having a crack at each other. Luo unloaded his attacks across his foe’s body, while the Brazilian kept his focus on the Chinese star’s legs.

The Shengli Fight Club representative, however, wasn’t bothered by ‘Denizinho’s kicks. The 25-year-old continued to smash his way through the Brazilian’s guards with crafty boxing combinations, uppercuts, jabs, and straights, all coming at a blinding speed.

In the second round, however, the storyline changed. Luo Chao continued his efficient work, displaying everything in his arsenal to break down the debuting Brazilian.

Round three was another aggressive and fast-paced affair. Luo went at his opponent with heavy artillery. The Chinese star landed clean shots on Souza Jr.’s chin and body. The debutant, however, kept connecting with solid body shots and calf kicks.
