José Mourinho is reportedly set to return to Real Madrid.
According to ESPN, the 63-year-old has agreed to a two-year contract with the Spanish powerhouse, prematurely ending his tenure at Benfica.
Mourinho was contracted at Benfica until 2027, with the Portuguese club set to receive €7 million (AU$11.3 million) in compensation.
Benfica went unbeaten this season, but still finished third on the Primeira Liga standings behind Porto and Sporting Lisbon.
