Sheamus shares 5-word message amid uncertain WWE future

Sheamus has been away from the squared circle for nearly 6 months now due to an injury he suffered on RAW. He hasn’t made a single appearance on WWE programming since November last year. Amidst his ongoing hiatus from the company, the Great White has dropped an interesting message subtly hinting towards his future plans. For the past few years, the former King of the Ring has been chasing the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

The Celtic Warrior was a part of the Last Time is Now Tournament alongside 15 other stars who wanted the opportunity to face John Cena in his final wrestling match at Saturday Night’s Main Event in December. However, the Irish star got injured during the tournament and had to give up his spot. He also teamed up with Cena and Mysterio in a Trios match which marked Cena’s final RAW appearance as an active competitor.

Sheamus bas been on the sidelines ever since he suffered that shoulder injury in November last year. Many people expected him to return ahead of WrestleMania and win the prestigious Intercontinental Championship at the event to complete his Grandslam with the company. However, recent reports have stated that there is no current timetable for the return of the former 4-time World Champion.

During his ongoing hiatus, Sheamus dropped a short and interesting message where he simply inspired his fans to work hard and be prepared. Many people feel that the Celtic Warrior is teasing his long-awaited return with this message and it is a warning to the current Intercontinental Championship Penta.

“Do the work. Be prepared,” he wrote.

It will be interesting to see when we will get to see the former World Heavyweight Champion back in a WWE ring again.

Gunther wants to retire Sheamus from WWE

Gunther and Sheamus have had a lot of great matches with each other in the WWE. The two stars put out an incredible bout on the British soil back in 2022 at the Clash at the Castle event. While speaking with the Main Event Club, the Ring General claimed that the Great White is the star he wants to retire the most. Gunther currently has the gimmick of the Career Killer following his involvement in the retirement matches of John Cena, AJ Styles and Goldberg.

“The thing with Brock is for publicity and is perfect. Sheamus, it’s a personal matter. I want to retire him. Subjectively, they are all good choices. On the main roster, Sheamus was my first big opponent, and he beat me up a lot. He made me earn it. I hope I can kick his ass on the way out.” he said.

Fans are curious to see if there will be another match between these two incredible performers.
