Pixel Plane Rumble in Honkai Star Rail is version 4.3‘s flagship event. It was released alongside the update and will expire right before it ends. The gameplay loop of this event is exceptionally simple, as you have to idle most of the time. All you have to do is defeat enemies to gain Gold Coins, get better equipment, and ultimately complete the stage. Once you finish one, you’ll be able to move on to the next one.

As mentioned, the Pixel Plane Rumble event’s gameplay loop is very simple. You’ll be given a plane to fight against others. Each aircraft offers a unique piece of equipment that cannot be swapped. Furthermore, all of them feature a total of six equipment slots, in which you can place the ones you’ll get/purchase while completing the stages. Regardless of the plane model, you’ll have three health points, which will go down if you get defeated by the opponent.
When you start a challenge, you’ll be given the option to choose a plane of your liking and purchase two pieces of equipment that pair well with your selected aircraft. Moreover, there are several types of equipment to choose from, such as damage, shield, burn, glitch, speed boost, and more.
Once you finish a fight, you can either purchase more equipment or get Gold Coins and move on to the next one. At the beginning, you’ll only get two equipment slots, which can be increased when you enter a new zone. Every new zone increases your slot size by one, with the only exception being the first one, as it unlocks two slots. While purchasing new equipment, getting duplicate ones will allow you to upgrade that particular one.
The first time you clear a stage, you’ll get a copy of Pixel Core Catridge. You can use it to unlock new Pixel Planes featuring different core ability/equipment. As for the reward after you successfully defeat an adversary, you’ll get 2x Gold Coins. Depending on which plane model you’re using, try to get equipments that goes well with it.
After completing every zone, you’ll emerge victorious and get enough points to unlock the next stage. Repeat the same process until you finish the event and acquire all the rewards.
