AEW veteran Chris Jericho was just reunited with one of his former WWE peers. The star in question, Chavo Guerrero, is currently serving as a producer for AAA.

Chris Jericho made his return to AEW programming this past April, and immediately found himself being targeted by Ricochet and GOA. After losing his comeback bout to The Excellence of Elevation at Dynasty 2026, and following weeks of abuse at the hands of the heel trio, The Demo God agreed to settle their feud through a multi-person Stadium Stampede match at Double or Nothing 2026. At the PPV, Jericho teamed with The Hurt Syndicate and The Elite to defeat The Demand, The Dogs, and the Don Callis Family’s Mark Davis and Andrade.

Soon after Double or Nothing, the inaugural AEW World Champion beat Ricochet in a singles rematch, but was ambushed after the bout by Tommaso Ciampa. Amidst his ongoing programming absence, Jericho took to his Instagram profile to promote an upcoming edition of his podcast Talk is Jericho, which will feature former WWE Cruiserweight and Tag Team Champion Chavo Guerrero as his guest. The AAA producer will be discussing his work as a wrestling consultant and stunt co-ordinator in Hollywood on the episode.

“Great chat with my old friend @chavoguerrerojr talking his new behind the scenes Hollywood career on @talkisjericho NOW! #ChavoGuerrero returns to talk about his success as the go-to wrestling coordinator and stunt consultant in film & television in Hollywood, working with @nickofferman , @nicolekidman and Jericho on @appletv #MargosGotMoneyTroubles, breaking down what really happens bts of wrestling scenes on set, and why actors like @zacefron in #TheIronClaw aren’t trained to wrestle…but to LOOK like wrestlers!”

The caption of the post continued:

“He shares stories about coordinating fights for StevenSpielberg’s mysterious #DisclosureDay project, and working directly with Spielberg. He explains the difference between filming a fight scene and surviving multiple takes of a full wrestling match. He talks what it takes to train A-list actors safely, why wrestling is really about performance and connection not moves, and how that changed his entire perspective on the business..”

Former WWE superstar Tommaso Ciampa on why he attacked Chris Jericho

Last Saturday on AEW Collision, Tommaso Ciampa finally addressed his recent ambush on Chris Jericho. The former WWE NXT Champion initially cited a number of witty reasons behind his animosity towards Y2J, in a reference to the latter’s iconic 1004 holds promo. The Psycho Killer eventually explained, however, that he was not convinced that the veteran was being his true, authentic self in his current run, going so far as to calling him a snake.

After missing Collision, Jericho did not appear on this week’s AEW Dynamite either, once again prompting Ciampa to send a warning message to the erstwhile Learning Tree, urging him to stay gone from the promotion.
