    Kongchai Chanaidonmueang made a statement that the entire strawweight Muay Thai division needed to hear.

    The former Rajadamnern Stadium Muay Thai World Champion delivered a dominant first-round knockout of Valerii Strungari of Moldova in their strawweight Muay Thai main event of The Inner Circle on Friday, June 5.

    The Tor Sangtiennoi representative came in with a point to prove, and he wasted no time making it inside Bangkok’s storied Lumpinee Stadium.

    Strungari set the tone early by pushing forward with punch-heavy combinations. But Kongchai calmly absorbed the pressure, kept his guard tight, and began targeting the legs with low kicks to slow his opponent down.

    The fight changed in an instant. Kongchai caught the advancing Moldovan with a sharp left-hand counter that stopped his momentum cold. Strungari reached for a spinning elbow in desperation, but Kongchai walked through it and answered with a left hook to the body, followed by a cross to the head.

    He kept the pressure on. A digging left hand found the midsection again, and a crushing knee hammered the same spot. The Moldovan was on the way down when he caught another knee to the head for good measure.

    He hit the canvas hard and could not beat the count. The referee waved it off at 1:32 of round one.

    The win pushes Kongchai’s career record to 79-16 and extends his winning streak to four consecutive fights. A six-figure ONE Championship contract is firmly within reach.
