Asante Samuel, Josh Hokit and Donald Trump all had reason to pay attention to UFC on Sunday night as the unprecedented card took place on White House property. Many fans expected a show, and fans got what they wanted and then some. Constant knockouts permeated the night, but perhaps the biggest blow was inflicted by Hokit in a post-fight interview.
Hokit threw seemingly the biggest punch he could think of and called former first lady Michelle Obama “a man” in front of Trump, who was seen sitting rindside. The shot resulted in an overwhelming number of reactions, including one from Samuel. Samuel called out Hokit over the comments in a post on Monday.
Thanks for the submission!

“Josh Hokit I hope you step on a rusty nail dipped in paint thinner, acid, rat poison, antifreeze, gasoline etc,” he posted.

Hokit’s fight took place in the middle of the card against Derrick Lewis. Hokit won the fight by knockout and ended the night with an undefeated record.

Asante Samuel makes Donald Trump prediction for next major sports event

The former New England Patriots star posted again about the event shortly after his Josh Hokit comment. In a post about 45 minutes later, which was edited at 7:45 am EST, Asante Samuel predicted that Trump would set up an NFL contest at the White House.
“Let me guess what’s next from Donald Trump… I bet he will try to build a stadium and host a NFL football game at the White House,” he posted.
Of course, the prediction raises many questions and factors to consider. In terms of real estate, a UFC fight requires much less space than an NFL stadium on average. A football field is 100 yards long, while a UFC octagon is much smaller.
Additionally, Trump has had a long-time positive relationship with Dana White, which laid the groundwork to make a UFC White House contest possible. The president has gone on record multiple times with negative thoughts or feelings about the league.
Most recently, he claimed that football as a sport needed a name change to make room for soccer. Long before that, he was a perceived enemy of the league after Colin Kaepernick’s infamous kneeling controversy.
Put simply, while the UFC White House card proved anything is possible, the roadblocks to getting an NFL game on White House property appear much larger.
Will Trump manage to fit in an NFL contest in the second half of his second term?
