BREAKING: John Cena On WWE Retirement: “I Had To Walk Away”

Last year at Saturday Night’s Main Event, John Cena announced his retirement from WWE. The Last Real Champion locked horns with Gunther in a final match where the Career Killer defeated the veteran star.

Following this, Cena made multiple appearances for the sports entertainment juggernaut but has yet to engage in any physical segment. Even the Cenation Leader has recently introduced a new tournament.

Amid this, the veteran reiterated the reason for his sudden in-ring retirement. In a conversation on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” on Wednesday, the legendary star said he misses the audience and its energy.

“No. What I miss is the audience. The energy that I feel when you come through the curtain,” Cena said.

However, Cena had to walk away from the squared circle because of his physical condition. The 17-time World Champion affirmed that his body can’t take bumps anymore, and that was the time that he hung up his boots.

As a result, the Hall of Famer stepped away as a professional wrestler.

“I had to walk away because I can’t get bodyslammed anymore. It was time,” he said.

This person might convince John Cena to come back from WWE retirement

In the same conversation with Jimmy Fallon, John Cena jokingly disclosed that the only person who could convince the Cenation Leader to come out of retirement is X owner Elon Musk.

“No. What? No. I cannot speak in absolutes because again, I don’t control that. But I think the only person that can convince me to come back, given the recent events, would be Mr. Elon Musk, and he’d have to give up a whole lot of his fortune to do so. So, until he does that, I think I’m going to stay retired,” he said.

It will be interesting to see when John Cena will appear next in WWE.
