Rhea Ripley has been away from WWE TV in recent weeks due to a real-life injury. Earlier today, Mami revealed that she was heartbroken following a major development.
Ripley currently holds the WWE Women’s Championship. At Clash in Italy, she successfully defended her gold against Jade Cargill in a blockbuster WrestleMania rematch. Unfortunately for The Eradicator, she got hurt during the contest. Following the premium live event, the sports entertainment juggernaut announced that the 29-year-old was dealing with a knee injury.

The former Judgment Day member recently revealed that she had a “slight tear” in her meniscus. Rhea Ripley also disclosed that she was steadily recovering from the injury. Amid her hiatus, Mami reacted to the result of the FIFA World Cup quarter-finals between England and Norway.
England defeated Norway with a score of 2-1 in the high-stakes match. Interestingly, Ripley was supporting Norway in the tense World Cup showdown. On X, Mami sent the following message after Norway’s loss.

Given Rhea Ripley’s injury, it’s unclear whether she will be cleared in time for SummerSlam. Moreover, some reports have indicated that WWE is unsure of the severity of Mami’s injury.
SummerSlam 2026 will take place on August 1 and August 2 in Minneapolis. Despite being the WWE Women’s Champion, Mami doesn’t have a program for The Biggest Party of the Summer. However, she recently made a huge announcement about her immediate future with the company.
On Instagram, The Eradicator revealed that she will appear at Fanatics Fest on Thursday. She will host a “Rhea Ripley lookalike” contest at the convention.
“This Thursday, I’m gonna be going to the Fanatics Fest, and I’m gonna be holding, I was gonna say a little, but I’m gonna be holding the biggest Rhea Ripley lookalike contest that there is. So, get your makeup ready, put your gear on, come dressed just like Mami, because the winner’s gonna win an ultimate prize. They’re gonna be winning ringside seats to Saturday Night’s Main Event at MSG. So I can’t wait to see what you all look like. I will see you soon,” Ripley said.
The winner of the lookalike contest will receive ringside seats to Saturday Night’s Main Event XLV, which will take place on July 18 at Madison Square Garden.
