A Major WWE star recently lost her Championship just a week before SummerSlam which has shocked a lot of fans. The star finally opened up about her loss this past weekend on X. The person i question is none other than the former NXT Women’s Champion Lola Vice. She and Mr. Iguana had been reigning as the AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions for nearly 6 months before their reign came to an end this past weekend.
Lola joined the Stamford-based company back in 2022 and began appearing on NXT in the following year. She even won that year’s NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament. Earlier this year at NXT Stand & Deliver, She defeated Jacy Jayne and Kendal Grey to become the NXT Women’s Champion. She has also been heavily featured on AAA programming after the promotion was acquired by WWE last year.

She won the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championships alongside Mr. Iguana after defeating Ethan Page and La Hiedra in February. The two had been holding the titles for a very long time and had defended them on several occasions. However, they lost their gold to Laredo Kid and La Hiedra at AAA Verano de Escándalo last night. The title change comes just a week before WWE is set to host SummerSlam in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Lola took to X to share a heartfelt message for her fans following the loss. She thanked everyone in Mexico and stated that she loves her fans from there.

Fans are excited to see what’s next for Lola Vice now that she’s no longer a Champion in either NXT or AAA.
Lola Vice is dating WWE Tag Team Champion Damian Priest
Lola Vice made history in 2022 by becoming the first Cuban star to get signed by the WWE. She is one of the most popular names on the NXT roster and is one of the top future prospects in the company. She is currently dating another hispanic star in the company which is none other than Damian Priest. Priest is currently reigning as the WWE Tag Team Champions alongside R-Truth on SmackDown.
There had been a lot of rumours suggesting that the two are in a relationship over the last few months. However, they made their relationship public when Lola talked about it openly in an interview with Denise Salcedo. It’s very common for wrestlers to date fellow wrestlers so fans weren’t surprised by this news.
It will be interesting to see if fans will ever get to see these two share the screen together.
