Two former WWE champions were recently called an alternate version of The Shield. The duo briefly reunited in a popular promotion last night.
The names in question are Zoey Stark (Zoey Serrano) and Shayna Baszler. Stark and Baszler were part of a faction called Pure Fusion Collective alongside Sonya Deville during their time in WWE. The Queen of Spades was released from the promotion last year. Meanwhile, Stark was let go by the company in April 2026.
Thanks for the submission!
Zoey Stark recently returned to the ring under the RevPro Wrestling banner after the conclusion of the 90-day non-compete clause in her WWE contract. Baszler was also in action at the event. The duo reunited on the entrance ramp when Stark was returning to the backstage area.
A clip of the former Pure Fusion Collective teammates’ interaction recently started making the rounds on X. A fan reacted to the footage, jokingly calling Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark members of the “Lesbian Shield”. Stark noticed the fan’s post and responded with the following message:
“Lmao 💀 🤣 this will never leave me, will it?”

The Shield is widely considered one of the most influential factions in pro wrestling history. It consisted of Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose (aka Jon Moxley in AEW). The group officially disbanded in April 2019 following Ambrose’s departure from the company.
Stark suffered a severe knee injury in May 2025 during a Triple Threat Match against Rhea Ripley and Kairi Sane. She tore her ACL, MCL, and meniscus during the contest. The former NXT Tag Team Champion was on hiatus when the sports entertainment juggernaut released her.
Zoey Stark is optimistic about her post-WWE run
Zoey Stark was part of World Wrestling Entertainment from 2021 to 2026. She couldn’t win a singles championship during her time with the company. However, she shared the ring with many top names, including Rhea Ripley, IYO SKY, Naomi, and Natalya, among others.
Ahead of her return to the squared circle, Stark revealed that she will now perform as Zoey Serrano on the independent circuit. In a post on X, she sent a message to her followers, expressing optimism about her post-WWE run.
“This season, I am unapologetically coming after everything I want. It’s f**king showtime,” Stark wrote.
The former NXT Tag Team Champion also shared the details of her upcoming appearances in a separate post on X. Fans must stay tuned to find out if Stark will sign with a major promotion in the coming months.
