In an effort to improve the experience for both buyers and sellers, OneUp Components just announced ReRide, a new online marketplace for pre-owned OneUp products. Buyers get verified products at low prices, sellers get cash or OneUp credit, and products stay in use on the trail for longer.
How It Works
Selling
If you have any functional OneUp Components in new, excellent, good, or well-used condition that you want to sell, head to OneUp’s new ReRide website. Sellers then choose the product from OneUp’s wide range of components and enter the relevant details like size and color, along with the product’s condition (new, excellent, etc.), a short description, and several photos.
Sellers choose the sale price and are given the option to enable price drop, which reduces the price of the item by 10% each week until it hits a pre-set minimum. If someone buys your item, OneUp sends you a prepaid shipping label so you can send it off. When a product is sold, sellers can choose between 100% of the sale price in OneUp credit or 80% in cash.
Buying
If you’re looking for a deal on some clipless pedals, one of the best dropper posts on the market, hubs, or any other OneUp parts, the ReRide site is a great place to look. You can filter through the options by category, size, and condition to find what you’re looking for, and view photos and descriptions. If you choose to buy, the item is shipped to you, and once verified to be in the advertised condition, the transaction is completed.
OneUp’s goal is to provide both parties with a protected buying and a secure payment experience. It’s meant to be hassle-free for the seller while ensuring the product and its condition are as promised for the buyer. No haggling or sketchy meet-ups with random people from Marketplace.
