Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy took a swipe at Tom Brady’s ex-wife, Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen.
On Wednesday, Portnoy reshared a video about New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye’s wife, Ann-Michael’s recent outreach and called her “My queen!”

He then took a direct shot at Bündchen, writing, “Gisele would never!”

Portnoy’s comments came after Ann-Michael took part in a Make-A-Wish Foundation initiative on Aug. 22.
The event involved a 16-year-old New England Patriots fan who is battling a brain tumor.
Ann-Michael hosted the young fan for a hands-on baking session at Gillette Stadium. The two spent time together making gluten-free cookies.
The baking session was part of a bigger surprise for the teenager and her family. They also received Patriots game tickets, field passes and a hotel stay. The family also got a personalized FaceTime call with Maye.
Portnoy’s comment about Gisele Bündchen comes after years of tension between the Barstool Sports founder and the supermodel.
The feud dates back to 2011, when Barstool Sports published paparazzi photos of Bündchen and her then-1-year-old son, Benjamin, while they were on a beach in Costa Rica.
In the picture, Benjamin was clothless.
Portnoy published the photos along with jokes and comments about the child.
Gisele Bündchen responded through her legal team by sending Portnoy a cease-and-desist letter. She also demanded that the photos and comments involving her young son be removed.
According to a statement from Portnoy published by Deadspin in August 2011, he initially ignored the cease-and-desist letter. But he later removed the post after police visited him.
“We did get a C&D. I ignored it because it didn’t have any grounds or at least didn’t look that way since everybody kept the photos up and they never followed up with it,” Portnoy said in an email, according to a Deadspin report in August 2011.
The incident also led to consequences for Portnoy at WEEI.
In August 2011, then-program director Jason Wolfe issued a permanent ban against Portnoy following what he described as a lack of common decency.
Drake Maye’s wife Ann Michael Maye took frequent Gisele Bündchen comparisons in stride
As Ann Michael Maye’s TikTok presence grew through her lifestyle and baking videos, Patriots fans flooded her comment sections with jokes comparing her domestic content to Tom Brady‘s ex-wife.
There were comments, which read, “Gisele could never,” “Gisele would never bake for us,” or “Gisele never showed us her Christmas pajamas.”
While appearing alongside Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy on her “Beyond Bakemas” cooking segment in January, she addressed the trend directly.
Ann Michael pushed back on the negativity toward Bündchen, saying, “I’m like, Gisele’s been pretty good, guys. It’s OK.”

Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen were married for 13 years.
They tied the knot in a small private ceremony in California on February 26, 2009, and finalized their divorce on October 28, 2022.
They have two children, Benjamin Rein Brady (Dec. 8, 2009) and Vivian Lake Brady (Dec. 5, 2012).
Gisele Bündchen married jiu-jitsu instructor, Joaquim Valente, on Dec. 3, 2025. They share a son together.
