5 biggest changes coming in Apex Legends Season 30

Apex Legends Season 30 will soon be released on August 4, 2026. This new season is named “Marked,” which brings loads of new features and changes, particularly to weapon attachments, Bloodhound, and World’s Edge. It will be a free update that will be made available on all platforms.

Here are some of the biggest changes in Apex Legends Season 30.

In Apex Legends Season 30, Bloodhound’s abilities have been completely reworked. First, its passive ability now creates a glowing trail, showing where enemies went. The White Ravens it uses also have improved range and can now be activated by a quick glance.

Bloodhound’s tactical ability will now show extra scans after the initial scan finishes, allowing it to learn a general trajectory of enemies.

The character now has a brand new ultimate ability. It will now deploy a device that cloaks all friendly legends who enter. While being semi-invisible, players will remain cloaked for 12 seconds after leaving the ultimate’s device area. If they take damage or fire weapons, the cloak will vanish before 12 seconds pass.

    2) Energy weapons ammo regeneration

The Energy weapons will now have regenerating ammo. This means that if a player runs out of looted ammo, the gun will automatically regenerate more ammo. So if you run out, you can wait for a while or use other guns while your Energy weapon regenerates ammo. Once the bar reaches 100%, you can reload and get a full mag.

This is a small but useful buff to Energy weapons. This is mainly useful during dire situations, since you can always loot more ammo from players’ death boxes or loot crates.

    3) World’s Edge map change

Along with weapon and legend changes, Apex Legends Season 30 also overhauls World’s Edge. The update brings old-god aesthetics, new POIs, and stunning aurora borealis glowing in the night sky. The new POIs basically mean three new locations replacing the old ones.

Here are the three new locations:

    • East Village replaces Climatizer (Bloodhound’s tribe base)
    • War Camp replaces Survey Camp (includes white-knuckle arena showdown)
    • New Tree Settlement with more vertical structures

Some old structures and locations also return to World’s Edge:

    • Sorting Factory.
    • Construction stacks re-emerge in Fragment.
    • Rampart’s Big Maude parks on top of Landslide.

    4) Corrupted Attachments

EA is introducing new Corrupted Attachments in Apex Legends Season 30. This is a brand new type of attachment that will contain one debuff, along with most buffs based on each weapon. For example, a Corrupted Attachment might increase recoil on one weapon, or reduce the mag size on another. You will only be allowed to apply one Corrupted Attachment to a gun.

This adds a unique twist while looting, since players will now have to choose their loadouts wisely to get the most out of their guns.

    5) Balancing world loot

Lastly, Apex Legends Season 30 will balance looting by removing Support and Assault bins, Explosive Holds, loot bin resets, Wildlife loots, and all other loot locations as well. As per EA, this change was brought to better streamline the looting process and make weapon choices more strategic.
