BREAKING: 27-year-old confirms WWE departure

A 27-year-old confirmed their departure from WWE today on social media. The promotion is on the road to SummerSlam this weekend in Minnesota.

Cyrus Habibi-Likio, who performed with the ring name Kai Kavari, announced that he was leaving the promotion today. He gave a few reasons for his exit, noting that he could earn main-roster money through real estate in California and that he wasn’t at a point in his life where he could wait for financial security.

“I just feel like our life belongs in California with our family. Second, financially. Having a hard time doing my California real estate business in Florida. When you start at WWE, you don’t get paid the most. Potentially, you can make bread, but me specifically, I’m not at a time in my life where I can live off potential. And being brutally honest, I can go back to California and make main roster main event type money through real estate,” he said.

Before signing with the promotion, Habibi-Likio was a running back for Boise State University. He competed in a total of nine matches during his time in the WWE.

Sheamus shares an update about his WWE departure

Wrestling veteran Sheamus is also set to depart the promotion soon. The Celtic Warrior will become a free agent on October 1 after reportedly turning down a restructured contract offer from WWE.

Speaking with Adam’s Apple, The Irish Curse noted that he had a great run with the company, but circumstances came up that he cannot talk about yet. The legend’s last match with the company took place in November 2025 on RAW, where he teamed up with John Cena and Rey Mysterio to defeat The Judgment Day in a six-man tag team match.

“Some circumstances came up. I can’t really talk about it, obviously, but 19 years was a good crack. I left Ireland in ’07, so I haven’t really had the luxury to go home and see my family and see my friends,” he said. (H/T: Ringside News)
