    iDubbbz says Ethan Klein did not drop his defamation lawsuit despite the latter ‘instructing his attorneys to drop it entirely’

    YouTuber and Twitch streamer Ian “iDubbbz” has stated that Ethan Klein has not dropped his lawsuit against him. For context, on June 9, 2026, iDubbbz announced during a livestream that Ethan Klein was suing him for defamation in Canada. Five days later, on June 14, 2026, the content creator apologized to Klein via a YouTube video.

    In response, the H3 Podcast host stated that he “appreciated the thoughtful apology,” and claimed to have “instructed his attorneys to drop the lawsuit entirely.”

    Klein wrote the following in a YouTube comment:

    “Hi Ian, I appreciate the thoughtful apology, it means a lot. I’ve instructed my attorneys to drop the lawsuit entirely.”

    On July 31, 2026, iDubbbz updated the online community about his legal battle with the 41-year-old podcaster, claiming that he had not dropped the defamation lawsuit.

    Ian stated:

    “Number one – Ethan Klein has not dropped the lawsuit. Number two – We’ve been actively dealing with it for the past couple of months. Number three – I am bringing it up now because now we have court dates, basically. And, so, you know, it’s becoming a lot more real.”

    While claiming that he “wasn’t particularly surprised,” but rather “disappointed,” iDubbbz stated that he would not be responding to any questions related to the legal matter:

    “I’m not particularly surprised, but I am disappointed. There really isn’t much else I can say about the matter right now because, you know, it’s legal. It’s legal, so I’m not going to be answering any questions in chat related to it. But there you go. ‘Has the announcement already been made?’ Yes, Larry. I’m sure if you scour the internet over the next hour, you might be able to figure it out. Ethan Klein hasn’t dropped the lawsuit; that’s what it is.”

    Why did Ethan Klein sue iDubbbz for defamation?

    On May 12, 2026, Ethan Klein announced during the 269th episode of the H3 Show that he had decided to take legal action against iDubbbz and his wife, Anisa Jomha, for implying that “he molested his children.”

    Klein stated that he had contacted “some fine Canadian defamation lawyers,” who sent a letter to iDubbbz and Anisa, demanding a retraction and a halting of the defamatory statements they made.
