Darren Till recently sounded off on Ian Machado Garry for claiming that women would fare better than men in positions of national power.
Garry is one of the most well-known welterweights in the UFC and is often lauded for his flashy striking style. The Irishman is set to face Islam Makhachev in a welterweight title fight in the main event of UFC 330 later this month.
Apart from his fighting prowess, Garry is also known for his unfiltered persona and his unique gift of the gab. During an interview, he made a bold claim that the world would be a better place if women ruled over it and drew significant flak for his comments.
In a recent interview with The Mac Life, Till shared his honest thoughts on the Irishman and reacted to his controversial comments. He said:

“I’m not a hateful guy. I don’t hate Ian Garry, but I just think every time that guy speaks, he just absolutely tarnishes his brand, his image, by what he’s talking about. Look, I’m a guy for the power of the women. I have four girls and me missus and stuff like that. Powerful women, of course, we love that, but it’s just the things he says.”
He added:
“And it’s always like he’s trying to buy love. If he were a bit more like me, mate, people would love him, because he’s obviously a great fighter… The one thing as well, people can see and know a fake guy. And he’s got fake written all over him. For me he has, anyway.” [H/t: MMA Fighting]

Brendan Schaub slams Ian Machado Garry for his claims about women running the world
Brendan Schaub recently shared his thoughts on Ian Machado Garry claiming women would rule the world better and claimed that the Irishman needed some more male friends.
In an episode of the Fighter and the Kid podcast, Schaub slammed Garry’s public persona and said:
“You know what it is? We have friends like this. He’s the friend that doesn’t have any male friends around him. His ears are only to his girl. Then he gets put on this PR tour to promote the fight, and he’s like, ‘Yeah, I cried during Disney movies. All women should rule the world’… I don’t think he’s making it work. I think he’s ruining his reputation, and he’s actually turning people off. I think he has the worst PR I’ve seen in a very, very long time.”
