Adam Vinatieri roasts absent Bill Belichick, other NFL legends during HOF induction speech

Few were spared during kicker Adam Vinatieri‘s Pro Football Hall of Fame induction speech.

The NFL’s all-time leader in points scored not only officially earned the “Hall of Fame” label, but he also used his time on the dais to reveal a possible future in stand-up comedy, poking fun at former New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady, as well as former Indianapolis Colts teammate Peyton Manning.

After beginning his speech with standard remarks thanking family, Vinatieri cut loose with a series of playful barbs, beginning with an unsubtle jab about Belichick, 74, and his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, 25.

While lamenting his former coach’s inability to attend, Vinatieri first said he believed the second-year North Carolina Tar Heels coach was on a recruiting trip but that Belichick was actually “judging his girlfriend’s cheerleading competition.”

Vinatieri quickly followed by describing Belichick as “the greatest coach of all time.”
