    This summer’s social media sensation Erling Haaland put on a jealous boyfriend act as he joked with an Italian actor to stay away from his partner. The Manchester City man has thoroughly enjoyed his summer, judging by his social media activity, particularly his YouTube channel.

    Haaland posted a vlog on YouTube of himself at an event, and his girlfriend Isabel Haugseng Johansen, with whom he has a son, was present, as well. She was casually chatting with actor Michele Morrone, when the Manchester City striker appeared before them and shepherded her away from him.

    “Hey, hey, hey. Not that close, not that close”, he said to the camera.

    The 26-year-old had a huge grin on his face after the interaction, indicating that it had been a light-hearted moment for him. It was the latest in a series of online posts from the striker, showing off his laid-back persona away from a football pitch.

    Erling Haaland gained a great deal of fans, alongside his Norwegian compatriots, during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The players performed well on the pitch, reaching the quarter-finals of the competition for the first time in their history after a 28-year absence from the competition.

    Their ‘Viking Row’ celebration with their fans at the end of every game further endeared them to all who watched the tournament. Haaland was the star of the show, netting seven goals in only five appearances to post the best goals-per-game ratio of any player in the competition who scored four goals or more.

    Erling Haaland set for Manchester City return after lengthy summer break

    Manchester City star Erling Haaland is set to return to training with the last batch of returning players this week. The former Borussia Dortmund man has enjoyed a month-long vacation since the FIFA World Cup, having played over 61 times for club and country in the last 12 months.

    Haaland is due to train under Enzo Maresca for the first time on Wednesday, August 12, after the team returns from their Asian tour. The striker was left out of the tour to enjoy his vacation, having reached the quarter-final of the World Cup this summer.

    Erling Haaland will have only a few days to reach full fitness, with the Community Shield against rivals Arsenal coming up next Sunday, August 16. The Cityzens will target an early statement of intent against their rivals, and will hope to beat them to silverware once more.
