Former NFL running back LeSean McCoy has called out French transgender athlete Julie Tetart amid the player being linked to the WNBA. On Monday, French Tetart, 34, said that she wouldn’t turn down an offer if contacted by the WNBA.
On the “Speakeasy” show on Sunday, McCoy made a bold statement about Teart.

“Look at this though,” McCoy said. “Seriously though, if you put her (Tetart) with boys, come on, dude. She won’t even make the JV (Junior Varsity) team, man.”

Tetart competed in men’s regional leagues in France for more than two decades. However, Tetart came out as a transgender woman in October 2021.
Due to mixed reactions, Tetart took a three-year break from the sport. In July 2024, Tetart returned to the court after having six gender-affirming operations.
Tetart is currently signed with Ligue Feminine 2 side Monaco. She averaged 21.2 points and 20.2 rebounds during the 2025-26 season.
Although the WNBA has not had any transgender athletes play in the league, the debate has been raging on in recent weeks.
LeSean McCoy won two Super Bowls during his NFL career
LeSean McCoy was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the second round of the 2009 NFL draft. He spent six years with the franchise before being traded to the Buffalo Bills in March 2015.
McCoy played four years with the Bills. He signed with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2019 and helped them win the Super Bowl in his sole season with the team.
McCoy played the 2020 season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and helped them win the Super Bowl in his first year.
McCoy retired from the NFL after winning his second Super Bowl.
