Tim Anderson’s time in Major League Baseball has come to an end.
The former Chicago White Sox shortstop announced his retirement, closing the book on a career in which he became a fan favorite and one of the faces of the franchise.
Anderson’s retirement was revealed in a social media post from the White Sox official X account. Chicago also revealed that it would honor Anderson in a pregame ceremony on Sept. 17.
Anderson spent the first eight seasons of his MLB career with the White Sox.
