    The main event for tonight’s edition of WWE SmackDown has reportedly been revealed. Tonight’s episode of the blue brand will air live from the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

    According to a new report from Viper of TRNBCKL, a segment featuring Cody Rhodes is scheduled to headline tonight’s show. Rhodes is currently in a heated rivalry with Randy Orton on the blue brand.

    The American Nightmare challenged CM Punk for the Undisputed WWE Championship at SummerSlam 2026. Orton returned during the match and planted Rhodes with an RKO out of nowhere while the referee was distracted. Punk did not see Orton’s attack but capitalized on it by hitting the GTS on Rhodes for the pinfall victory to retain the title.

    Cody Rhodes defeated Randy Orton at WrestleMania 42 earlier this year in Las Vegas to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship. After the match, Orton brutally attacked Rhodes and punted him in the head. Orton went on hiatus for a few months following the loss but returned at SummerSlam to ruin Rhodes’ chances of becoming champion once again.

    Kevin Owens also made his surprise return at SummerSlam and won a Fatal 4-Way match to become the number one contender for the Undisputed WWE Championship. He will be challenging CM Punk for the title next week on SmackDown in Toronto.

    WWE star Cody Rhodes reveals the biggest regret of his life

    SmackDown star Cody Rhodes recently opened up about the biggest regret of his life.

    Speaking on his What Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast, Rhodes shared that his neck tattoo was his biggest regret. He complimented the artist and noted that he would live with it forever rather than try to have it removed.

    “I stand by the fact that I think the work is great and the artist is great, but I also will reveal, as I think I’ve revealed on this pod before- the neck tattoo, I would widely consider the greatest regret of my life. I’ll live with it. I ain’t trying to get it removed. No, we’re gonna rock this till the very end,” he said.

    There are three title matches scheduled for tonight’s episode of SmackDown. The WWE and AAA Tag Team Championships will be on the line when Damian Priest and R-Truth face The War Raiders. Jacy Jayne will be challenging Tiffany Stratton for the Women’s United States Championship, and Baron Corbin is scheduled to put the US Title on the line against Carmelo Hayes.
