On August 19, 2026, NCT 127 shared a series of photos from their recent time in Los Angeles on the group’s official Instagram account. One image shows Haechan seated on a curb in an outdoor setting. In the background of that photo, a figure appears partially visible behind a tree.
Fans quickly began circulating the image with a red circle drawn around the figure to highlight it. The figure has been linked by observers to a person previously identified in fan discussions as a sasaeng who in 2023 shared video content from inside Jaehyun’s hotel room during an NCT 127 tour stop in the United States.
In the days leading up to the Instagram update, the same individual had posted additional photos and videos showing NCT 127 members at their hotel and during other non-public portions of the Los Angeles schedule. The Instagram post itself went up in mid-August 2026 while the group was in California for KCON LA and other activities.
