Everton wage bill for 2026/27 season

It’s all become a bit chaotic at Everton, but if there’s any man who can keep the ship afloat, it’s certainly David Moyes.

The experienced Scot will need to conjure up all his managerial genius to ensure this season doesn’t end in disaster for the Toffees, with Moyes seeing his squad weakened rather than strengthened this summer.

Indeed, the Merseysiders endured a desperately poor window of recruitment, left with a threadbare group that is now arguably without its talisman, Iliman Ndiaye.

It’s not all doom and gloom, however, with there still a talented young core to look to at the Hill Dickinson. But how much do they all earn? Well, let’s find out.

Everton goalkeeper salaries

In the view of former skipper Seamus Coleman, speaking on the Overlap, Everton “would be in the Championship” without long-serving goalkeeper, Jordan Pickford, such is the Englishman’s importance to the cause.

That status is reflected in Pickford’s £150k-per-week wage, the former Sunderland man deservedly ranking among the top earners on this list, and among the best in his position in the Premier League.

As for the rest of the goalkeeping department, well, Mark Travers and Tom King will have to battle it out for domestic cup action.

Everton defender salaries

With Coleman’s fine service coming to an end in an Everton shirt, the club captaincy has passed on to James Tarkowski, the £120k-per-week centre-back having long been the club’s on-field leader.

With Jarrad Branthwaite alongside him, the Toffees have such a solid backline to build around, even if it looks a little light at full-back.

The polarising Vitalii Mykolenko remains the only senior option at left-back, while Ainsley Maitland-Niles was snapped up on deadline day to ease the long-standing woes on the opposite side.

Everton midfielder salaries

Following his Chelsea hell, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has been a man reborn in Everton colours, arguably even outstripping Ndiaye as the key man across 2025/26.

His £90k-per-week wage, the highest among the midfield group, reflects that almost talismanic quality, with an English core developing around him in the form of Hayden Hackney, James Garner and Harrison Armstrong.

£80k-per-week arrival from Arsenal, Christian Norgaard, will provide some much-needed experience in the centre, the Dane having been reduced to a bit-part role in the Gunners’ title triumph last season.

He’s back. Yes, former £100m man Jack Grealish is an Everton player again, the Englishman back on Merseyside after seeing last season’s loan switch curtailed by injury.

Former Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace winger, Brennan Johnson, has also made the move to the Hill Dickinson, the £75k-per-week forward swapping places with Dwight McNeil at Selhurst Park.

With Tyler Dibling and Tyrique George also on board, the Toffees are blessed with two truly exciting young options on the flanks. As for Thierno Barry, he’ll have to carry the goalscoring burden alone amid the lack of a centre-forward alternative.
