The Ciudad de Soria Half Marathon celebrated this Saturday a historic edition. The Soria race reached a new participation record, with 1,200 registered across all categories and 525 finishers in the half marathon, confirming the growth it has been experiencing in recent years and its ability to attract more runners from outside the province.
In fact, 55% of participants came from outside Soria, a figure that reinforces the sporting and tourist dimension of a race that continues to gain presence on the calendar and has once again turned the streets of the city into the stage for a major athletic day.
The 41st edition also served to test a new course, designed to minimize disruption to traffic and the city’s usual activity while offering runners a more visual and spectacular route. The response on the day was very positive, both from participants and the public, consolidating a modification that preserves the essence of a demanding and characteristic Soria race with reduced urban impact.
