AEW has just posted additional footage of emotional messages for PAC as part of the promotion’s tribute to him. This included several major names on the roster, including his last opponent, Andrade El Idolo.
During the opening contest of All Out 2026 last weekend, the Death Riders member challenged the luchador for the AEW National Championship. But in the end, the champion was able to sneak away with the win. This match became memorable, as it was the Bast**d’s last one, and fans rewatched it and noticed many interesting moments they previously missed.
Last night on Dynamite, AEW aired some messages to PAC from members of the roster. The promotion has compiled more of these and posted a 48-minute video featuring them on YouTube. One of the messages came from Andrade, as he expressed disbelief at his passing, considering how they shared the ring last weekend.
“I still can’t believe it. PAC, you almost beat me a couple of days ago for this championship. Now, where are you, my friend? I’m in shock. How you know? He knew. You were one of the best wrestlers in the world. Thank you for everything. I am going to miss you. PAC, Ben, you’re in my heart, my friend. [18:52-19:42]
Andrade spoke about finding out about the news of PAC’s passing
Andrade El Idolo also posted a statement about PAC’s passing a few days after it happened. He mentioned that, upon arriving home from the pay-per-view, he took some time to himself when he found out about the news from WWE Superstar Penta. He refused to believe it until they got confirmation after speaking with various wrestlers and AEW management.
“I still can’t believe it! I was arriving home in Miami, having decided to take a break from social media for a day or two, when I got a call from Penta asking if I knew anything or if something had happened during the match. I told him, “I don’t believe what you’re telling me,” and he said, “I don’t believe it either.” We thought it was just a rumor, “Let’s hope it’s just a lie!” until I started getting messages and calls from wrestlers across various promotions, I spoke to the AEW office, and they confirmed the news was true. It was something I never imagined!” he wrote.
This news was indeed a shock to all, but the response has been overwhelming. Fans and wrestlers alike have been full of praise and have been celebrating the incredible career he had. Last night’s tribute show is a testament to this, and his legacy will surely live on forever.
