“Had 3000 customers show up” – Jon Jones flaunts pizza shop opening success as he claps back at Colby Covington amid ongoing feud

Jon Jones appears to have had a blast at the Prince St. Pizza opening in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and made sure to rub it in Colby Covington’s face with a pointed social media clapback.

Jones and Covington have recently been embroiled in a social media war after ‘Chaos’ branded Jones a negative influence on Gable Steveson’s mixed martial arts career.

The Olympic gold medalist recently suffered a 12-second KO loss to Sean Sharaf at UFC 331 and immediately left the octagon before the official result was announced.

Following the defeat, Covington held ‘Bones’ responsible for Steveson’s actions. True to form, Jones didn’t stay quiet, firing back at his longtime rival on social media and accusing him of being obsessed with him, while also downplaying Covington’s MMA credentials.

However, Covington’s remarks branding him a negative influence appear to have struck a nerve with Jones. Pointing to the success of the new pizzeria launch, the MMA legend fired back, writing:

“Had 3000 customers show up to my pizza shop grand opening. So much for negative energy, Colby.”

Check out Jon Jones’ comments below:

Jones attended the opening of Prince St. Pizza’s Baton Rouge location on Friday, October 9. ‘Bones’ had signed as a partner in the shop earlier this August.

Social media posts from the occasion show the former two-division UFC champion having a great time, meeting with fans and even trying his luck at a pizza-eating challenge.

Jon Jones wanted Daniel Cormier to “tag in” during the pizza-eating challenge

Jon Jones appears to have had a blast at the Prince St. Pizza opening in Louisiana. The former UFC champion even took on a pizza-eating challenge, which eventually brought his longtime rival Daniel Cormier to mind.

In a clip now going viral on social media, Jones can be seen struggling to finish the last few slices of the pizza. With his stomach full, the former champion admitted that if there was ever a time he wanted to see Cormier, this was it:

“I’ve never wanted to see Daniel Cormier more than I want to see him right now. Tag in, brother.”
