One of the significant events that happens in Euphoria season 3 episode 7 involves the death of Nate Jacobs. At one point in the season, Nate gets entangled with criminals who owe money, such as Naz. In a situation where the money has not been paid, Naz decides to kidnap Nate and hide him underground while asking Cassie to pay $1 million in exchange for Nate.
Cassie goes out of her way to save Nate, along with Maddy and Alamo, but when they eventually find the location, they see a rattlesnake which entered the underground through the ventilation system and bites Nate. It is revealed that Nate died of poisoning before anyone could rescue him.
The death of Nate impacts other characters in the series in various ways before the finale begins. Cassie has lost someone whom she fought hard to maintain a healthy relationship with, whereas Maddy renews her friendship after having issues with both Nate and Cassie. At the end of episode 7, Rue Bennett faces significant risk as she goes down into the basement of Laurie as part of the scheme to rob it. However, the plan falls flat after she opens the safe and discovers that its contents don’t conform to her expectations. She loses all control at this moment.
In addition to the threats mentioned above, Rue faces many more in Euphoria season 3. Firstly, the group led by Laurie has reason to distrust her following her break-in. Also, Wayne means her harm even before he finds out about the planned robbery. Additionally, Bishop and Alamo have their own networks within which Rue and others move.
