Ange Postecoglou will team up with football legend Cristiano Ronaldo as the Australian manager has been announced as the new boss of Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr.
The former Tottenham, Nottingham Forest and Celtic manager’s longest stint out of coaching since he was sacked as boss of Australia’s youth teams is over with Postecoglou signing a two-year deal with the Saudi champions.

As well as 41-year-old Ronaldo, Postecoglou will be in charge of a dressing room that includes the likes of former Atletico Madrid, Chelsea and Barcelona attacking midfielder Joao Felix, ex-Liverpool forward Sadio Mane and former Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman.
“A new chapter. Mr Ange Postecoglou appointed as head coach of the Al-Nassr first team. The contract spans two seasons,” the club said in a statement.
“We wish him and his staff every success in their journey.”

Postecoglou has been working as a pundit during the ongoing World Cup for British broadcaster ITV.
While since he departed Forest last October, the 60-year-old has been working as a technical adviser for UEFA.
Postecoglou had also recently been linked with the vacant Scotland job after they were eliminated from the World Cup in the group stage.
Instead he replaces Al-Nassr’s previous manager Jorge Jesus and the club has made their expectations clear by citing one of Postecoglou’s most notorious quotes from his time at Tottenham on their announcement graphic.
“At all my previous clubs, it ends the same. With me and a trophy,” it read.
This will be Postecoglou’s first job in Asia since he coached Japanese outfit Yokohama F. Marinos to the J-League title.
