Steelers have exactly what Aaron Rodgers needs in a budding player

One of the big reasons the Pittsburgh Steelers were able to lock in quarterback Aaron Rodgers for one more run is because the team improved its offense during the offseason. Before Rodgers signed on for another season, he wanted to make sure that he would have a chance to win.

So, the Steelers showed him that they meant business and brought on Michael Pittman Jr., Rico Dowdle and Germie Bernard, among others. But, not all of the upcoming stars on the Steelers’ roster are newbies. There’s one player who the Steelers drafted back in 2024 and is starting to really blossom.

Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers have someone who could “become the best player at his position”

In an ESPN feature published on Wednesday, Ben Solak names a breakout candidate for each NFL team ahead of the 2026 season. For the Steelers, it’s center Zach Frazier, who works closely with Rodgers.

“Film heads love Frazier, who might simply be the best offensive lineman still on a rookie contract,” he notes, adding that Next Gen Stats had Frazier with a 2.7% quarterback pressure rate for 2026.

“His experience snapping the ball to Aaron Rodgers is certainly helping the mental side of his game as well,” he adds. “Of all the players on this list, Frazier would be my bet to eventually become the best player at his position in the NFL.”

The center can sometimes be an overlooked position in the NFL, but Frazier has the chance to put the spotlight on it. As the 2026 season kicks off, he has a real chance to boost Rodgers.
