Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb discussed last season’s severe knee injury with reporters on Wednesday for the first time since tearing his ACL, MCL, medial capsule and meniscus during the team’s Week 2 “Monday Night Football” game against the Pittsburgh Steelers this past September.
Chubb went down with the injury after taking a hard hit from Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick during a first-and-goal rushing attempt. Due to the nature of the injury, ESPN decided not to show a replay of the play on its broadcast.
The four-time Pro Bowler said on Wednesday that he didn’t blame Fitzpatrick for the incident and didn’t think it was a dirty hit.
Though Chubb was relegated to watching the Browns’ OTAs on Wednesday and currently has no timeline for his return to the field, the bruising back said he’s “getting better every day.”
