It’s safe to say Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah is having a terrific week.
On Friday, Salah, 32, signed a two-year extension with the club, ending months of speculation about his future. Then, on Sunday, he made English Premier League history in a home match against West Ham United.
In the 18th minute of the match, Liverpool forward Luis Diaz netted a right-footed goal off an assist from Salah. On the play, he broke the Premier League record for goal involvements in a 38-game span, with 45 (27 goals and 18 assists). Thierry Henry and Erling Haaland held the previous record.
