The Pittsburgh Steelers are tied with the New England Patriots with 6 Super Bowl wins – the most by any team in NFL history. Breaking that tie is the big dream for quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who is now under head coach Mike Tomlin.
As usual, Aaron Rodgers appeared on The Pat McAfee Show, where he talked about his expectations as a Steelers player. Pat McAfee asked the quarterback if chasing “Seven Lombardis” was on his mind, and Rodgers responded:
“Everyone’s 0-0 right now,” he said. “All 32 teams feel like they can win a championship, but in reality, it’s just a few. I always say 6 to 8, but really it’s 8 to 12. Pittsburgh is one of the cornerstone franchises of the NFL. Everyone knows who they are.”
So, Aaron Rodgers is clear about it: he has a team that can fight for a playoff spot, but the ultimate goal is to go deep in January – where the Steelers have been stuck for many years.
