    Anna Jay Issues A Statement After Reuniting With Former Partner In AEW

    Popular AEW star Anna Jay delivered a statement after reuniting with her partner in the Jacksonville-based wrestling promotion.

    The aforementioned star in question is Tay Melo. The duo, collectively known as TayJay, became a rising unit in All Elite Wrestling before going their separate ways. After Anna Jay returned to AEW to answer Willow Nightingale’s TBS title open challenge, she reunited with Tay Melo and hinted at going after the Women’s World Tag Team Championships.

    At the Double or Nothing 2026 Buy-In, they came to the aid of Zayda Steel and Viva Van after they lost an Eliminator match to Megan Bayne and Lena Kross. Following that, the duo appeared in a backstage segment where Anna Jay reflected on the fact that despite the two of them being in All Elite Wrestling from the start, it did not guarantee them anything, and realized it the hard way.

    The last time you saw both of us, we lost in the first round of the Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament, and to be honest, I think that hurt us a lot more than you guys will ever realize. We learned the hard way that being here from the beginning doesn’t guarantee you anything. Not respect, not opportunities, and definitely not championships.”

    Following that, Tay Melo said that whenever they officially team up next, it will be two women coming back stronger than ever and dared anyone to try them.

    “Whenever it’s time, you will not step in the ring with two little girls chasing the dream. You will step into the ring with two women who already survived losing it [So, just try us].

    Anna Jay seemingly confirmed re-signing with AEW

    Amid her absence from AEW, Anna Jay was rumored to be leaving the promotion for WWE. After she returned to wrestle Willow Nightingale in a losing effort and reunited with Tay Melo, she claimed that there was a lot left to do for them, seemingly confirming that she had re-signed.

    “All respect to Willow, her moves hurt like hell, and maybe I dove in deep on this one, but I didn’t drown. So yes, she is still the TBS Champion, but maybe she is not the comeback killer because I came back and I’m still here, and there’s a lot left for us to do,” Jay said. (0:07 – 0:26)

    With TayJay back in the mix, it remains to be seen whether this reunion will lead to success.
