At the age of 39, when most of the players across the world hung up their boots, former West Indies all-rounder Kieron Pollard is still going strong.
On July 21, Pollard, currently playing as an MI New York batting all-rounder, created a record in the ongoing Major League Cricket (MLC) during their match against the Washington Freedom.

Kieron Pollard is now the leading run-getter in T20 history. Through today’s match, he has surpassed the legends of the format like Chris Gayle. In front of the massive crowd of Washington Freedom, most of the batters of MI New York went down cheaply. Pollard is the only one who stood tall against the fiery bowling attack of Freedom today.

In the effort, Pollard claims his second T20 century today, which makes his place in the record book strong, but it was not enough to help the team win the match against the Washington Freedom. Kieron Pollard remains unbeaten for 100 off 56 with a strike rate of 178.57. The Caribbean’s innings was decorated with eleven 4s and four 6s. Because of the ton from his bat, MI New York is able to score 215 against Freedom’s 245.
Washington Freedom batter and Australian cricket star Mitchell Owen was outstanding in the first innings of the game, scoring 155 off 68. Experienced bowlers like Trent Boult, Corbin Bosch, and Pollard himself leak plenty of runs against the top-order batter.
