Well, it seems that Esker Cycles cares a whole lot about the 32″ wheel movement and has officially opened the order process for their new Lorax 32.

Lorax 32 Pre-Sale
The crew at Esker is doing something a little different this time around. Instead of quietly developing the Lorax 32 behind the scenes and launching it when it’s ready to ship, they’re opening the Lorax 32 up for pre-sale.
They’re doing this to gauge whether the 32″ wheel market has enough demand to justify a full production run. That’s fair. They are looking for a mere 20 pre-orders to commit to manufacturing 100 units.
But, How Does it Work?
Here’s how it works: place a pre-order now. If the 20 needed orders come in, production moves forward… the lead time is expected to be about 120 days for production and shipping of the frameset. So, maybe a September/October delivery timeline.
If the 20-order threshold isn’t met, all orders get cancelled and fully refunded. So that means zero risk for the buyers. Esker is confident it’ll meet the 20-unit number to proceed to production based on customer feedback. But, they’re letting the numbers make that call.
Right now, the pre-order is for the frame and fork only. If you want a complete build, that option will be available closer to delivery, with pricing and build options mirroring the current Lorax lineup.
For riders out there who may have been waiting on a 32″ option from Esker, this is a chance to get in early and directly influence whether the product comes to market. It’s pretty simple: the pre-order scenario helps remove the production risk for Esker, and in return, you can be among the first to get the Lorax 32 when it ships. Cool beans!
