Sami Zayn finally breaks silence following shocking title loss

Sami Zayn finally broke his silence today after losing the Undisputed WWE Championship in the main event of RAW. Zayn captured the title by defeating Gunther and Cody Rhodes in a Triple Threat Match at Night of Champions 2026.

CM Punk made his surprise return last night on WWE RAW to replace Cody Rhodes in the title match against Sami Zayn. The American Nightmare was attacked by Gunther at the beginning of the show. Punk picked up the pinfall victory after hitting the GTS to become the new champion.

Zayn cut a promo following the loss, and the video was shared today on social media. The Last Real Good Guy went off on CM Punk and then was despondent after his rant.

“9 days after I get it, that piece of sh** can walk back in here after not being here for months, and walk right in and get a chance? That mother f***er! He has no business, no business!” Zayn said.

Zayn won the title by rolling up Rhodes at Night of Champions. It was the first time he had ever won a major title in the company, and his reign only lasted 9 days.

Kevin Owens shared an emotional tribute after Sami Zayn won the Undisputed WWE Championship.

Owens has been out of action since last year with a neck injury. He took to social media following Zayn’s win to note that he wished he could have been there to witness it.

“I’ve missed a lot of things I wish I hadn’t in the last 15 months because of this injury but today is, by far, the one I wish I had been there for the most. He has brought out the best in me as both an ally and a foe. That’s because he is THE best. When you’re consistently that good for that long, you become undeniable. Sami becoming WWE Champion was inevitable. He has deserved that moment for a very long time and I am so happy to see him finally get it,” he wrote.
