The ‘MLB wins leaders since 2000’ quiz

The New York Yankees have yet to have their trio of veteran starting pitchers of Gerrit Cole, Max Fried and Carlos Rodon available at the same time this year. But with a double-header against the Pittsburgh Pirates on July 22, both Cole and Fried will take the mound on the same day.

Fried has been out since his three-inning, three-run outing against the Baltimore Orioles on May 13. Despite the rotating door in the Yankees rotation, New York’s starters have the seventh-lowest ERA in Major League Baseball in the ninth-most inning – thanks in large part to Cam Schlittler.

The Yankees have once again had to deal with injuries to key players (both pitchers and hitters), but are still within two games of the division-leading Tampa Bay Rays and are in the top American League Wild Card spot.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Despite a rough post-All-Star break stretch for Fried last year in his first Yankees campaign, he still led all MLB with 19 wins. With that being said, can you name the pitchers to lead MLB in wins each season since 2000?

    Good luck!
