Fever’s Caitlin Clark closer to suspension after technical vs. Sun

Caitlin Clark had a monster game for the Indiana Fever on Wednesday night, posting another 20-10 game with 27 points and 11 assists in a 123-88 rout over the Connecticut Sun. The 123 points are a franchise record for the Fever, while the 20-10 game is the 16th of Clark’s career, extending what is already her own WNBA record.

That is a lot of positives.

But there was one potentially big negative for Clark, and it came when she picked up yet another technical foul, bringing her closer to a potential suspension.

Clark picked up the technical foul late in the third quarter, with the Fever leading by 29 points, when she was involved in an altercation with Connecticut’s Saniya Rivers.

During a back-and-forth between the two players, Clark could be seen telling Rivers to check the scoreboard, resulting in the technical being called.
