    Zay Flowers has suffered an injury in training camp. According to Ravens coach Jesse Minter suffered a quad contusion on Saturday and will now be day-to-day.

    Flowers’ injury comes a mere four days after he signed a four-year, $140 million extension. NFL fans reacted on X.

    According to Yahoo Sports, Zay Flowers suffered a quad contusion when he collided with defensive back Jaylinn Hawkins during the workout. He then left the practice session early.

    Minter did add that he doesn’t expect the star wide receiver to miss a significant amount of time. The Ravens’ next padded practice is on Sunday. They have a preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles scheduled for next Saturday.

    Zay Flowers gearing up for Year 4

    The Baltimore Ravens selected Zay Flowers in the first round of the 2023 NFL draft. He was fresh off an impressive four-year collegiate career with the Boston College Eagles.

    Flowers had an impressive first season. He set the franchise’s rookie records for most receptions (77) and receiving yards (858). He played a crucial role in the team’s run to the AFC Championship Game.

    Flowers showed more promise in Years 2 and 3, posting Pro Bowl campaigns in the process. He crossed the 1,000 receiving yards mark twice while securing his place as Lamar Jackson’s favorite target. He recorded career highs in receptions (86), receiving yards (1,211) and starts (17) in the 2025 campaign.

    Zay Flowers now enters the 2026 season as one of the league’s best-paid wide receivers. He’ll look to help end the Ravens’ 13-year Super Bowl drought.
