Two weeks after he scored his first career NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series win at Indianapolis, Carson Kvapil got win No. 2 after a wild chain of events at Iowa Speedway on Saturday.
An excellent launch on the race’s final restart got Kvapil out in front of the field, and he held off Rajah Caruth to win for the second consecutive race.
Caruth, William Sawalich, Ross Chastain and Sheldon Creed rounded out the top five, with Nick Sanchez, Taylor Gray, Dean Thompson, Harrison Burton and Brennan Poole completing the top 10.
Saturday’s race was filled with cautions, including a late yellow involving Brent Crews, polesitter Ryan Sieg, points leader Justin Allgaier and other frontrunners.
